The experience

A week that feels like summer camp, for grown-ups

It's not just about tennis. It's the people, the nature, the dinners that run long because nobody wants to leave.

01

Daily tennis, properly coached

3–4 hours a day in small groups split by level — technique drills, tactical play and plenty of live points.

02

Matchplay & padel off the clock

Friendly doubles, optional padel sessions and casual tournaments for anyone who caught the competitive bug.

03

The island (or lake) itself

Volcanic beaches, cliff walks, boat days and local food — every camp is designed around the place, not just the courts.

04

People first, always

Solo travelers, couples and friends. Groups stay small enough that by day two, you've got inside jokes.

Your coach

Hi, I'm Alexandra

Founder of tennis.trips, lifelong player and your host on every camp. I started these trips because the best tennis weeks of my life were never about the drills alone — they were about who was on court next to me.

I'll place you in the right group before you arrive, adjust the coaching to your level, and make sure nobody eats dinner alone unless they want to. From the first message to the last set, you're looked after.

Strangers on day one, doubles partners by day three

Most guests arrive alone. Nobody stays a stranger for long — here's what they say after the week ends.

★★★★★

"I booked solo and slightly nervous. By day two I had a standing doubles partner and dinner plans for every night. Alexandra thinks of everything — level groups, courts, restaurants, even the playlist."

★★★★★

"Four hours of tennis a day sounds like a lot until you're doing it above Lake Garda with espresso breaks. Best sports week of my life. Already signed up for the next one."

MMarkusLake Garda camp · Sep
★★★★★

"We came as a couple who plays once a month. We left hitting proper topspin, with a group chat that's still active months later. The coaching is serious; the vibe is pure holiday."

Questions, answered

Absolutely. Groups are split by level before you arrive, so beginners train with beginners and never feel rushed. If you can rally a little, you'll get a lot out of the week — and if you've never played, tell us in advance and we'll prepare accordingly.

Simple: DM us on Instagram. We'll confirm availability, answer your questions, and hold your spot while you sort flights. A deposit secures your place; the rest is due closer to departure.

Most of our guests do. Solo travelers are the heart of tennis.trips — rooms can be shared or private, and the schedule is built so mealtimes, sessions and evenings naturally bring the group together.

All coaching and court time, accommodation, most meals, group activities and airport transfers on camp days. Flights are booked individually so you can choose your route. Every camp page on Instagram lists the exact inclusions.

Your racquet (we can arrange rentals), court shoes, sportswear for 3–4 hours of daily play — plus swimwear and something nice for dinners. Madeira in October is still t-shirt weather; Garda evenings call for a light layer.

We'll tell you exactly which flights the rest of the group is taking and when transfers run, so booking takes minutes. From the airport onward, everything is handled.
